Directory Services
The Purdue Operators offer directory assistance for listings of students, staff and departments on campus. Dial "0" from a campus phone or 494-4600 from off campus to reach Purdue Directory assistance.
Published Directories
Operator Services is in charge of compiling the information included in the departmental sections of the Purdue Student/Staff directory that is published each October. A letter is sent in May to each department asking for corrections and updates to the information published in the previous directory.
In July, a letter is sent to each department seeking corrections for the Purdue University pages of the Verizon telephone directory, which is distributed in December.
Long Distance calling from Off Campus, Local Calling Area using an Authorization Code
Staff members with authorization codes can call the Purdue Operator at 49-44600 to place a long distance call from an off campus local number. Calls using the authorization code can be placed through the Purdue Operator only from the local calling area.
